The nation that refuses to help its citizens build a bridge to its future will always be haunted by it’s past. America is one of the most advanced civilizations on the planet, and at the same time, one of the most dysfunctional nations in the world. She has been a leader in innovation, but quickly falling behind in advancing the human soul toward greatness. Our country even boast some of the most popular names in personal development and ministry, but individuals are still struggling to break free from devices that keep the human soul chained to past. Racial tension is more prevalent today than in the 60’s, because we live in a country that continues to tear down the bridge to our future.
Before you were conceived in your mother’s womb, Leadership and Purpose IQ™ was the deciding factor for your future. Your first experience with the hand of leadership began with the circumstances that surrounded your conception. From there, you were placed under medical care for nine months until the time of delivery. When the big day came, the leadership of the doctors and nurses went into full affect to lead you through a series of medical procedures to exit your mother’s womb. At that point, leadership was transferred back to your parents who not only was responsible for nurturing your physical body, but helping you make sense out of the circumstances that surrounded you. As strange as it may sound, you are where you are today because of the Leadership and Purpose IQ™ of the people that were assigned to your life!
Amazing Grace has become the mantra for the church, but grace is under attack in a society that has redefined God’s grace to serve fleshly appetites. Extreme liberals have removed the Holy out of Matrimony, as same-sex marriage has become legal in a country that touts “One Nation Under God” on its currency. Planned Parenthood has become a government funded butcher shop that’s selling the body parts of innocent babies like meat on an open market. Both are blatant examples of how our country has turned its back against God. However, before believers hand out one-way tickets to hell, everyone must examine their hearts and how they compromise the purpose of the Christian brand for the sake of fleshly appetites.
A standing ovation is the crowning achievement for any speaker, and I’ve had the opportunity to experience both sides of the ovation fence. Both spiritual and business speakers have made me feel like I could run outside and scale a mountain. On the other hand, I know what it’s like to be on the platform and move an audience to their feet with elation. The athlete in me liken the experience to making the winning shot of a game. However, I’ve learned that the true measure of a successful speaker/coach, is not in bringing people to their feet, or inspiring them to think outside the box. The true measure of successful personal growth is hidden in making them sit down!
